DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BECOME A DRIVING INSTRUCTOR?
If so then you could be on your way to a fulfilling career. For many people receiving their driving licence is a life changing experience and one that you can be part of. However, like any new job you need to think about all the aspects.
Searching through the internet can be confusing being bombarded with websites promising dream like salaries, flexible hours and guaranteed work. Yes, you can earn a good salary but you must be prepared to put the hours in. Yes, the hours can be flexible but you have to be available if your pupils require evening and weekend lessons, as these are usually the busiest times.
Is the work guaranteed? If you are a good instructor and build a good reputation in your area you will receive recommendations and continued work. Here are a few other questions to ask yourself:
Are you patient?
Do you get on with a broad range of people?
Will you feel in control instructing from the passenger side?

At the ADI Centre we teach you the skills you need to become a good instructor. You will be guided though the three phases (Parts 1, 2 and 3) at your own pace and time scale. You will learn to coach pupils of varying ages and levels of skills.
We offer ORDIT Registered Training. This means our training skills have been passed by the Driving Standards Agency (www.dsa.gov.uk) to offer quality advice and training. We offer franchises at reasonable rates and at different scales, and help you build a business independently with our ongoing help and support.
